Highly Experienced Management Team

Steve Daniels

President

Steve Daniels has more than 23 years of experience in the geosynthetics industry and more than 30 years in the construction industry. Known for exceptional project execution, Daniels has worked for both manufacturing and installation companies and developed more than 800 pertinent industry contacts. He earned a BSBA from Duquesne University and an MBA from Louisiana State University. He has held multiple positions in the geosynthetics industry, including estimating manager, project manager, sales manager, national accounts operations manager, regional manager, vice president, executive vice president, and general manager and owner. With GCS, Daniels’ responsibilities include sales and field construction services.

Jim Manno

Vice President

Jim Manno has over 35 years of management experience in the construction industry, including all aspects of landfill construction. Manno has also worked independently as a consultant for construction firms contracting with landfills and has served as General Manager of a Pennsylvania landfill owned and operated by Casella Waste. With GCS, Manno’s responsibilities include sales and field construction services. He has a BS in Finance from Penn State University.

John Tenhover

Senior Project Manager

John Tenhover has over 17 years of experience in the geosynthetic industry. Tenhover has held many different positions including Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager/Estimator, Estimator, and Senior Estimator. Tenhover has bid or overseen construction on all types of geosynthetic applications from municipal and private landfill cells and closures, wastewater treatment ponds, decorative ponds, fish hatcheries, mining industry, power plant cells, and closures, etc. With GCS, Tenhover’s responsibility is field construction services. He has a BS in Construction from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.

Dan Garlow

Senior Estimator

Dan Garlow has 28 years of estimating experience in the geosynthetic industry. Garlow has held many different positions including estimator/draftsman, chief estimator, estimating manager, and now his current position as senior estimator. Garlow has bid on all types of work including cells, closures, ponds, reed beds, etc., and all types of geosynthetics, in Garlow’s 28 years’ there is little he has not estimated. Garlow is responsible for multiple aspects of the bidding process from initial estimating, specification review, and final proposal. Garlow is the primary estimator for GCS projects.
